VIERA NeoPDP TVs include 6,144 steps of gradation and boast an ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio of over 2,000,000:1 thanks to a newly developed discharge gas. Blacks are purer and whites brighter – giving sharper, more lifelike and 3-dimensional pictures.

Sharper Motion with 600Hz

To ensure the picture quality of sports events, action films and gaming is smooth and judder-free, VIERA NeoPDP employs 600Hz Sub-field Drive with Intelligent Frame Creation Pro. This advanced internal processor creates 600 sub-fields from the initial signal input, then reproduces 12 sub-fields to display a single frame. By using an intelligent algorithm based on motion detection, the best motion flow is created – delivering the sharpest moving pictures with full detail.

Smoother Action with 100Hz
Even fast-moving scenes are displayed sharply and clearly. With a 50-Hz video signal input,
100-Hz Intelligent Frame Creation makes 100 frames/sec from 50 frames/sec. This increases the frame count to allow natural frame-to-frame transitions, for smooth motion images with high resolution. VIERA also uses motion focus technology that greatly enhances resolution.

Wide 178° Viewing Angle with IPS Alpha Panel

With the G10 Full HD LCD TVs, you are ensured excellent viewing from almost any angle. The wide 178° viewing angle of LCD models is achieved thanks to the IPS Alpha Panel and the backlight which enhances the contrast between light and dark areas – so you have a great picture whether relaxing on your sofa or in your favourite armchair.

IPS Alpha LCD Panels provide a high light transmission rate and low power consumption due to its panel structure. In addition, these panels feature high moving picture resolution and a wide viewing angle for displaying images that are truly natural when viewed from any angle.

Camcorder and Digital Camera

A VIERA NeoPDP TV is the ideal way to enjoy recorded with your Panasonic HD camcorder or LUMIX digital camera. That is why VIERA features the VIERA Image Viewer function. Simply slot in the SD Card – your photos and even HD movies will appear on the television as lifelike as the moment you captured them. The VIERA Image Viewer supports JPEG, AVCHD and AVCHD lite for your entertainment.

Eco Mode

Standard on most VIERA TVs, Eco Mode uses a photo sensor to measure the ambient light in the room, then adjusts the panel’s brightness accordingly. As a result, a VIERA TV uses up to 55% less power* in darkly lit conditions. The Panasonic advanced VIERA Link function has been further developed for new 2009 VIERA TV models to provide friendlier features. One example is the energy-saving Eco Link, which can put all connected Panasonic devices into Stand-by Mode when they are not in use.
